Both Bose QC35 Series I and QC35 Series II are excellent offerings in the form of over the earsets that specialize in noise cancellation features. Each of these devices comes with its specifications and features.

However, QC35 Series I and Series II do not come with many differences, though. Series II has been launched as a sequel or advanced version of the original QC35. Even then, we will analyze the differences and features of these two headphones from Bose.

The Design

On the external, both QC35 Series II and QC35 Series-I sport the same design language. On the surface, both the devices look entirely identical. Both of them offer you a foldable design that comes with a plastic and foam body. The headband is made of Alcantara microfiber. This would help relieve you from the fatigue related to long-term headband usage.

As for colors, they do not offer you a more comprehensive choice, as has been a regular case with most of the Bose headphones. You get black and silver colors. However, we would assume the color profiles would make them look entirely professional in their own right. The Series I was available in the additional richness of Midnight Blue, but the color has now been discontinued.

The Hardware

Well, there is a little difference between the competing headphones. Well, did we say competing? Not exactly. In fact, QC35 Series II is an upgrade for the Series I. From that perspective, they both are quite similar regarding hardware and construction. The only difference you will find between the two is an additional action button available on QC35 Series II. This button is used for triggering the Google Assistant on. The Google Assistant will help you connect your headphones to the compatible Android device. You may also use this action button to adjust the noise cancellation levels.

In addition to the 20 hour-long battery life, the QuietComfort 35 wireless headphones II also have a new Action button on the left earcup. In countries and the languages where the Google Assistant option is available, that button will give you instant access to Google Assistant. In countries and languages where the Google Assistant option is not available, the action button lets you quickly toggle through three different levels of ANR settings for the best performance wherever you go.

Both these headphone uses the proprietary “TriPort acoustic headphone structure” that utilizes external ports on the headphones to vent the earcups. This effectively enlarges the acoustic volume, without any increase in the size of the physical earcup. The final output results in better audio & active noise reduction from a smaller, lighter, a more comfortable headphone.

Both of these headphones offer you the same connectivity options. You will find inline Mic, Micro USB port for charging and the usual play, pause, and volume buttons on the right side ear cup.

The Physical Dimensions

The dimensions are similar across both the over the ear headphones. The dimensions measure at 7.1 inches by 6.7 inches. The ear cup depth measures at 3.2 inches. Both of them weigh at 8.3 ounces. In fact, that would give an impression of these headphones being a little heavier. But the bump has been because of the Li-ion batteries built within the headphones and the integrated mic and control buttons. The headphone cord length varies a little between the two siblings – Series I has a cord length of 56 inches, and Series II has a length 47.2 inches.

Noise Cancellation

This is where the two siblings differ. The QC35 Series I has only one level of noise cancellation. The Series II headphone offers you multiple options regarding noise cancellation that you can opt for. Moreover, the Google Assistant integration is what should provide a high-level hand free performance.
